This role is full time and based in our Fantastic Furniture Lounge factory in Fairfield East.

**Purpose of Role**:
As a Planning & Inventory Controller, you will support the Planning Lead with scheduling orders, purchasing goods and services for production, and liaising with store staff and internal services to promptly resolve issues. You will manage administrative tasks related to production planning and scheduling, maintain inventory levels, and handle data and information regarding purchases of raw materials.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- **Serious on Safety**: Promote a safety culture that prioritizes health, safety, and wellbeing. Actively participate in Work Health & Safety initiatives and report hazards and incidents.
- **Right People**: Drive informed decisions within inventory control to align raw materials with production needs. Assess material requirements and monitor inventory levels through regular cycle counts.
- **Customer at the Centre**: Exceed customer expectations by maintaining effective communication with stores and prioritizing orders. Review sales orders and prepare daily production cutting lists.
- **Operational Excellence**: Ensure efficient manufacturing operations by checking for missing combinations, discontinued items, and out-of-stock fabrics. Communicate with stores and amend orders accordingly.

**Success Profile - Person Specification**:
**Work Experience**:

- **Essential**: Experience in purchasing/inventory planning in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution environment, production scheduling experience, experience in cycle counting/warehouse management systems.
- **Desirable**: Experience in lounge or furniture manufacturing.

**Qualifications**:

- **Essential**: Administrative skills.
- **Desirable**: Tertiary qualification in a related field.

**Technical Skills**:

- **Essential**: Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP Systems), excellent verbal and written communication skills, understanding of workplace health and safety.
- **Desirable**: Experience with Microsoft D365.

**Traits and Attributes**:

- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure, attention to detail, high analytical ability, ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
