We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with disabilities in their daily lives, enabling them to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.

**Shift Requirement**:

- Bankstown area
- Afternoon/Night shift with potential for day shifts
- Mostly weekends with the potential for weekday
- Opportunity for additional work

**Your Role**
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

- Provide individualised support to clients in their daily activities, personal care, and community participation.
- Assist with therapy-related activities, including implementing physical, occupational, or speech therapy exercises, in collaboration with therapists and coordinators.
- Monitor and document client progress, sharing updates with therapists and coordinators.
- Offer social support to clients, helping them engage in meaningful activities and build connections.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and empowering environment that respects the dignity and preferences of clients.

**What You'll Need**:

- Working rights within Australia.
- Experience as a support worker, particularly with high-needs clients.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance or willingness to obtain one.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
- A genuine passion for empowering people with disabilities.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Current First Aid certification, driver's licence, and reliable vehicle.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $41.13 - $43.13 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 9 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
