Food and Beverage Utility

**About the role**

Ventia’s Defence Base Services (DBS) team are seeking to engage an experienced **Food & Beverage Utility.** This ongoing casual position will see you based at Campbell Barracks, Swanbourne. This role will see you working a variety of shifts over a seven day roster period.

**Key duties, but not limited to**
- Clean, sanitise and maintain equipment, furniture and premises
- Ensure all required repairs, hazards and maintenance are reported
- Wash all crockery, cutlery and glassware after each service
- Support stock management initiatives, including stock rotation, review of labels and used by dates, loading and unloading supplies, restocking consumables, and assist with stock take activities
- Examine all Mess signage and notice boards daily, ensuring current information is displayed
- Participate in team meetings and toolbox talks, and offer suggestions for improvement to operations, safety or service where appropriate
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Food and Beverage Supervisor

**Skills & experience**
- Prior experience delivering food and beverage services is desirable
- Knowledge or understanding of Defence Force operations, systems and functions is desirable
- Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability work in a team
- An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders

**Other special conditions**
- Must be an Australian Citizen, to obtain a Department of Defence Security Clearance
- This position requires a National Police Clearance Check
- Travel may be required on occasion between Defence Bases
