Asset Recovery Officer

**Overview**

The primary purpose of this role is to support collections outcomes and minimise losses through effective management of repossession and sale processes for the Pepper Asset Finance business. You will partner with a well-established team working late stage collections accounts outsourced to our Mercantile agent partners.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Negotiating payment arrangements on accounts that have been referred for repossession in order to remedy the arrears and mitigate loss to the business.
- Ensure strict account management for upgrade to repossession action and mitigate loss to the business.
- Maintain meaningful relationships with external vendors in order to maximise the partnership potential.
- Prevent and minimise breaches of NCCP.
- Using skip tracing methods to ensure prompt contact is established.
- Reporting to provide insights and identify emerging risks and trends.

**About you**:

- Outstanding communication skills with a strong understanding of negotiation tactics.
- Demonstrated experience in asset finance or collections for a minimum of 2 years.
- Sound understanding of navigating different systems to deliver on day-to-day objectives.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment with proven experience in assessing and mitigating risk for the business
- Experience working towards to both team and individual targets as per business requirements.
