Do you have a keen eye for detail, and know what makes an image stand out on a mobile phone, a home page, a front page and a social post? Have a firm knowledge of video and how it can by used to tell stories in a fast-paced news environment?

Working together with the Vision Editor, you will run a small, highly professional team of in-house and freelance photographers, producing premium content seven days a week across all platforms.

**What’s the role**:

- Source and create compelling images and video that resonates with an audience
- Deliver relevant content that both engages our existing subscribers and attracts new readers
- Work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment to deliver premium images without compromising on quality or accuracy
- Co-ordinate a team of in-house and freelance photographers to provide up to the minute, high quality images, including rostering, time management and performance feedback

**Who are you**:

- Thrives on the challenge of meeting business outcomes and reader expectations and actively looks to exceed them
- Strong news judgement and vision skills
- You will know how to get the best out of people, while being prepared to work as part of a team in a role which requires a cool head and strong collaboration skills.
- Has experience in digital storytelling and people management
- Photo editing skills in a publication or news setting
- Willing to embrace change and demonstrate agility in a fast-paced sector
- Self-starter who can maintain high levels of personal organisation and time management
- Understands social media, SEO, digital data
- Ability to project plan and anticipate visual and online needs
- Strong motivation, a collaborative work ethic, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Understanding of copyright law and ability to negotiate with outside agencies
- Detail-oriented, able to stay calm under pressure, and know how to balance priorities
