This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading independent College in this new position, to commence in Term 1, 2026. It is an exciting time for the College, with a clear Strategic Plan and an ambitious Preparatory School campus redevelopment due for completion in early 2026.

About the Role

As Deputy Head of Preparatory School – Teaching and Learning, you will be at the heart of the College’s academic leadership, guiding a high-performing team of educators across Reception to Year 6. You will champion evidence-based teaching practices, foster a culture of lifelong learning, and ensure every student receives an education that supports their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coach Pedagogical Leaders and Preparatory Teachers to deliver best-practice teaching aligned with the science of learning.
- Drive curriculum innovation and review cycles, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum and strategic priorities.
- Oversee assessment, reporting, and data-informed teaching practices to enhance student outcomes.
- Model exemplary pedagogy to support staff development.
- Coordinate professional learning, standardised testing, and inclusive education provision.
- Build strong relationships with staff, students, and families, promoting a culture of trust, collaboration, and shared purpose.
