**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Our IT team are looking for an IT Disaster Recovery Analyst to join on a 6 month contract basis.

Primary responsibilities will include:

- Drive the design, implementation and communication of IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans and processes
- Review and update the IT Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
- In conjunction with business product owners, review and update critical recovery measures (eg RTO, RPO, MAO) and align related interdependencies
- Develop procedures, checklists and playbooks for critical activities (eg restoration of service procedures, recovery from unplanned datacentre outages etc)
- Ensure that the IT Disaster Recovery Plan and associated procedures and supporting documentation are maintained, tested and improved over time.
- Act as IT liaison for crisis response related matters (eg Emergency Notification System, and support with BCM to drive implementation and promote key redundancy tools - eg Mimecast)
- Assess whether new or changed IT Disaster Recovery requirements of the firm can be met with existing solutions, or if relevant presentation of a business case for review
- Develop, in conjunction with senior leadership, technical teams and the BCM team, the annual test schedule to include technical recovery tests and tabletop exercises.
- Ensure that all IT Disaster Recovery documentation is reviewed/updated on a regular basis and revised as appropriate.
- Maintain the risk register and assess risks in relation to threats to the continuity of IT systems and services.
- Develop IT Disaster Recovery induction training and communication plans to the wider IT team, and more broadly across the firm
- Ensure critical supplier contingency plans for all critical systems are developed and maintained by Global Service/Capability Owners
- Work with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop service level recovery standards and agreements.
- Ensure that Business Services remain aware of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan and in particular the role they would play in the Plan should it be invoked.
- Support IT and crisis response teams with the best approach when managing an incident and manage crisis documentation.
- Facilitate lessons learned exercises and action post exercise actions/reports.

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

To be successful in this position you will have:

- Substantial proven experience in DR / BC role
- Membership of BCI or DRII or a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
- Previous experience of IT risk assessment.
- Previous business analyst experience
- Strong vision that is aligned to delivering business goals and objectives
- Demonstrated ability to engage with, lead and influence key stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational, planning, prioritising and execution skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal skills, along with demonstrated presentation skills
