Disaster Resilience Leader

This leadership opportunity involves overseeing the delivery of disaster response projects across New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.

You will lead a national team and be responsible for rolling out education programs, ensuring alignment with project milestones. A key focus is building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to expand our reach and identify future funding opportunities.

About You

We are seeking a strategic and compassionate leader with a background in disaster recovery, education, health, or community services.

The ideal candidate brings a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting communities through trauma-informed education.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and management of disaster resilience projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, schools, and community organisations.
  • Support and develop a national team of Disaster Resilience Officers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Selection Criteria
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, health, or community services, with demonstrated project management experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team development, performance management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in disaster recovery with established networks across relevant sectors.
