P-12 Mentor

The role is a full or part-time (O.8 or 1.0 FTE negotiable) maximum-term contract, with possibility of extension.

The successful applicant will be released from face-to-face teaching for 0.6FTE to enable in-class coaching and mentoring and have a teaching load (0.2 or 0.4FTE as negotiated).

Linuwel currently has 269 students from Preschool to Class 12. Our High School provides an intimate, community-centred experience for 78 students in Classes 7-12, with a single class for each year level. Our school does not currently offer the ROSA or HSC. Instead, students complete significant projects as culminating tasks at key junctures (Class 10 and Class 12).

**About the role**

The P-12 Mentor, a new role at Linuwel, will provide instructional leadership in Steiner pedagogy to teachers P-12. The focus of the role is on mentoring teachers to bring Steiner’s indications for pedagogy fully to life in the school, and on assisting the College to bring anthroposophy to life in all school programs and practices.

**Selection criteria**
- Demonstrated success in holding a class through a cycle of growth.
- Ability to develop practices, systems and processes supportive of systematic and effective teacher mentoring.
- A sense of spiritual striving, as evidenced by a commitment to personal growth, reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

**Essential qualifications**
- Bachelor or Master of Education of Teaching or equivalent
- Qualifications and/or experience in Steiner/Waldorf pedagogy
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current NESA accreditation at Proficient or Above.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Previous experience coaching and mentoring teachers will be highly regarded but not essential.
