We are looking for a **clear English speaking** - **Female SW **who is hard-working and dedicated to join our team. It is a rewarding job that will give you the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the community, whilst also developing personal skill.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support to individuals with disabilities, with a focus on those with mental health needs.
Location**:Carina QLD.**
Your work is based in a Participant's house.
**Positions available**:
- In-home support / Assistance with Daily Living, Community Access and Transport - (Monday-Friday & Weekends)
**Position Overview**:
As a Mental Health Support Worker at Kuremara Care, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the client. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated **Female support worker** to join our team.
Should be,
- Fluent in English language skills.
- Middle-aged, enthusiast, and easy to get along with.
- Someone who takes inciative and hold a good conversation with the participant
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Engage the individual in social and recreational activities, fostering independence and community integration.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the individual's needs are met effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Community Participation**: Facilitate and engage in community activities to promote social integration and participation.
**- Personal Care**:Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of the clients.
**- Transportation**: Safely transport clients, creating a supportive and secure environment.
**- Appointment Assistance**: Accompany clients to appointments and provide necessary support.
**Requirements**:
- Experience**:Proven experience as a Mental Health Support Worker, with a strong background in community participation and personal care.
**- Qualifications**: Relevant qualifications in mental health, disability support, or a related field.
**- Communication Skills**:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.
**- Driver's License**:A valid driver's license is essential for transporting clients.
**- Availability**: Flexible availability, including weekends.

**Experience**:
- Mental Health
- In-home assistance/care
**Language**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and friendly attitude.
- Ability to communicate sensitively and appropriately.
- Understanding of safe work practices.
- Previous employment experience in the health/Disability care sector.
- Ability to work independently and accurately report back to supervisors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience in providing quality services that assist people to maintain their independence, dignity, cultural values and religious beliefs.
**Qualification**:
- Support worker: At least 1 year of experience
- NDIS Worker's Orientation
- NDIS Check - Yellow Card
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Passport or Visa
- Australian Driver Licence
**How to Apply**:

Pay: $33.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
