**The Role**

Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for shaping the future of workforce planning and development? We're seeking an experienced Workforce Planning and Development Lead to spearhead a range of crucial activities. If you're ready to make a significant impact, this role is perfect for you As the Strategic Workforce Planning and Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving key initiatives and activities. You will ensure the effective coordination, implementation and integration of the Secretariat’s workforce planning and development methodology, programs, policies, projects ad resources. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the development, drafting, and coordination of key Jobs reports, including workforce planning strategies, environmental scans, industry surveys, and more. Your insights will help anticipate skills needs and drive informed decision-making.
- Contribute to an efficient knowledge management system including responsibility for integrating engagement results into projects, ensuring our initiatives remain aligned with stakeholder feedback.
- Cultivate and maintain networks with key stakeholders, fostering the exchange of information between employers, community organizations, training providers, and all levels of government. Your relationship-building skills will be vital in driving successful partnerships.
- Support the development of ground breaking industry and place-based approaches to workforce planning and development.
- Identify and analyse emerging issues that could impact strategic direction and foresee challenges and opportunities.
- Evaluate ongoing performance by providing clear direction and guidance to staff, contractors, and consultants. Your leadership will ensure that our initiatives meet their legislative mandates.
- Offer expert advice to Jobs Queensland Members and other stakeholders on complex skilling and workforce planning matters. Your insights will guide strategic decision-making.
- Prepare briefing materials, reports, submissions, and correspondence for key stakeholders, showcasing your ability to convey complex topics with clarity.
- Contribute to public relations, marketing efforts and represent various forums in engaging

- Proven experience in workforce planning, development, and strategy implementation.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities evidenced by significant achievement and innovation in identifying skilling and workforce issues across a range of industries.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of government processes and legislative mandates is a plus
