**Job Description**:
**Purpose of your role**
The Head of Risk and Assurance is responsible for leading the continual improvement of OFX’s enterprise risk management, control, and assurance systems and processes. They work collaboratively with key stakeholder groups to provide expert risk management advice and insights, facilitate independent assurance on key controls and ensure there is a robust, effective, and efficient approach to managing risk across OFX.

**What you do**
- Manage the design, implementation, and continual improvement of OFX’s enterprise risk management and assurance frameworks and related policies, procedures, and systems.
- Provide expert risk management advice, analytics, and insights to key stakeholder groups, including preparation and delivery of written and verbal reports to Executive Risk Committee, Subsidiary Boards and the Board Audit Risk & Compliance Committee.
- Working with the company secretary, develop and maintain the risk governance and reporting program to ensure appropriate risk oversight by governance committees including Executive Risk Committee, Board Audit Risk & Compliance Committee and Subsidiary Board meetings.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing implementation of an enterprise Business Continuity Plan and management approach, including any associated continuity exercise, testing and improvement activities.
- Review and improve the management, monitoring and oversight of financial risks including customer credit risk.
- Develop and deliver OFX’s independent control & quality assurance program to independently test key controls, ensure corrective actions are implemented and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop and deliver the global annual internal audit program to provide independent assurance over key risks, managing OFX’s outsourced audit firms to execute internal audit activities and monitoring and following up on outstanding audit actions.
- Lead and manage the Risk & Assurance team, including overseeing the delivery of associated risk and assurance services staff performance management, reviews and planning. Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of OFX strategic, business and operational plans.
- Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of OFX at all times, including the promotion of OFX company values.
- Undertake such other duties as maybe required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of OFX.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications / professional qualification in a Law, Commerce or Business and/ or technical discipline.

**Knowledge, skills, experience**
- 7+ years of financial services experience with a strong risk management and/or internal audit background.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise managing an enterprise risk management framework, risk strategy and the continual improvement of risk related functions, processes and controls.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of high quality information, advice and analysis to inform management decision making and engender a positive risk culture;
- Demonstrated ability to understand commercial challenges and opportunities, and proactively develop options, lead change and foster innovation to improve performance.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and sound professional judgment to achieve business outcomes in a customer-driven environment. Business process knowledge and broad based operational perspective.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation as well as with external stakeholders.
- Leadership skills with a strong interest in coaching and developing staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Self-directed, professional and strong initiative and organisational skills.
- Money remittance / payments experience is preferred though not essential.
