The UX team at Pickles has been at the forefront of driving human centricity across the organisation and not just its digital products and offerings. Over the years we have been building our own multi-brand design system to support rapid design and development on a range of platforms. With immense focus on primary research and deep data provided by our inhouse Business Intelligence and Reporting team our design decisions are robust and meaningful. Our UX team comprises a mix of designers, researchers, and engineers on a mission of measurable quality, usability, and simplicity. Our products and services are experienced by millions of Australians.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to develop skills across various research methods. This is truly a Research opportunity with UI resources within the direct team and serviced teams. Your work focus will include but not be limited to ethnography, surveys, interviews, usability testing, and A/B (multi-variate) testing.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Collaborate with direct team members and stakeholders to understand research needs.
- Identify the gaps in understanding of user needs and goals.
- Choosing the right research methods and define question sets for exploration.
- Initiate research projects, manage their timelines, and participant recruitment.
- Work closely with the Head of UX and other stakeholders in the Innovation and CX space to develop and enrich personas based on data gathered.
- Presenting your findings to internal team members and other stakeholders.
- Be open to constructive feedback to align users’ needs and goals to business objectives.
- Actively evaluate and continuously improve the approach, toolset, and delivery of insights.
- Conduct regular Usability studies/Testing sessions and A/B tests aligned with Agile development.

**ABOUT YOU**
- 3+ years of UX research experience
- Demonstrated ability in planning and supporting facilitation of research activities, such as semi-structured interviews, workshops, and multi-variate tests.
- A genuine passion and interest in understanding the human experience and developing approaches that seek to explore and understand behavioural and environmental drivers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey research activities and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and establish measurement and evaluation activities using qualitative and quantitative methods including but not limited to A/B and Multi-variate testing.
- Qualifications in a social science discipline (e.g. Anthropology, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History etc.) are welcome.
