Their mission is to represent, grow and inspire an effective and robust philanthropic sector for the community.

This is an exciting time for Philanthropy Australia, with the introduction of a new organisational strategic plan, which is both action oriented and engagement focused and the aim of doubling structured philanthropic giving in Australia by 2030.

There is now the opportunity to join their inspiring Marketing and Communications team to promote and effect this positive change.

**The role**

Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Communications Adviser - Events is a key role in the development and delivery of communications for the promotion of Philanthropy Australia events. These include a national conference, thought leadership program, webinar series and national awards.

There is also an opportunity to work with the Director Marketing and Communications to deliver an organisational rebrand and contribute to the development of collateral in line with new brand guidelines.

The role will also have responsibility for the following:

- Supporting the membership and events teams to deliver marketing for Philanthropy Australia’s events and programs, including assisting with live event capture and coverage as required
- Develop engaging content to promote upcoming events and drive attendance of key events
- Updating the web-based Philanthropy Australia events calendar
- Using programs including Canva and Adobe Suite, design marketing collateral to support events
- In collaboration with the Director, Marketing and Communications use Philanthropy Australia’s media monitoring tool (currently Meltwater) to monitor, track and tag the organisation’s and sector media coverage on a daily basis, and generate regular coverage reports using Meltwater’s inbuilt tools
- Assist the Director, Marketing and Communications to research, create and develop content for publications, programs and other Philanthropy Australia collateral, materials and communication activities

**Skills and experience**

The Marketing Communications Adviser - Events requires an ambitious and enthusiastic professional with the following skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, public relations or similar
- Experience developing content for a range of audiences to promote brand and events for local and national audiences
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work across multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation and research skills, with the ability to provide diverse writing samples
- Experience using graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite software is desirable
- Experience working in, or demonstrated understanding of, membership-based and/or not for profit organisations with an events focus is desirable
- A passion for the non-profit sector and desire to contribute to positive change
