**The role**:
We now have an exciting full-time role for a proactive Export Container Planner to join our Global Forwarding team based in Epping. With your solid knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, you get to shape the future of this fast-growing division

As a Export Container Planner, you will assist in reducing container detention costs by conducting freight cost analysis, inventory monitoring, and proactive issue management. Your role will be crucial in optimizing export transportation, enhancing service efficiency, visibility, and stakeholder relationships within Visy Logistics. We are looking for someone who is forward-thinking, highly organized, and hands-on in their approach.

**What you will do**:

- Monitor export ocean freight operations, including container packing and export planning
- Oversee active containers across all Visy Business Units identifying risks related to export free days
- Manage container availability, priority, claims, freight billing, and container turnaround
- Support warehouse operations and outbound transport by ensuring efficient inventory levels and container packing
- Communicate with internal Visy stakeholders to report on shortages, delays, and quality issues
- Identify non-contracted shipments and notify relevant teams to manage reduced free time effectively
- Validate vendor invoices for container detention charges before payment
- Assist in developing dashboards to improve visibility and tracking of active containers across the Visy Group
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient operation

**What You will bring**
- Freight Forwarding & FCL Transport experience is essential
- Strong working knowledge of CargoWise
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and present data
- Experience with SAP would be an advantage
- Highly organized, proactive, and deadline driven
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
