**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Coordinator, Community Resilience, Partnerships and Social Planning, The Strategic Social Planner will deliver a range of social planning and capacity building initiatives.

We are looking to recruit a professional with strong interpersonal skills, an excellent analytical skill set and an understanding of how social change can be created. You will understand the social challenges and opportunities facing communities and will use your strong research and strategic thinking skills to provide expert advice and recommendations to support the planning and development of the city.

**To be Successful in Your Application You will Demonstrate**:

- Qualifications in social planning, social and behavioural sciences, town planning, public policy or another relevant discipline.
- Significant expertise in social planning, social strategy or social assessment.
- Strong data and analytical skills - An ability to use data and evidence to support decision making about social infrastructure and community development.
- Strong relationship skills - An ability to build partnerships and relationships across Council and with a range of key stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and an ability to turn high level concepts into actionable, practical outcomes.
- COVID-19 Vaccination or medical contraindication upon commencement.
