Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers.

BB Digital is accountable for delivering a seamless customer experience across our business banking digital channels including CommBiz Web, Mobile and CommBank app. A vision to be the undisputed leader in digital business banking, there is an exciting delivery roadmap ahead enhancing both design and technology of these digital platforms. You’ll play an integral role in our ongoing commitment to deliver better customer experience and outcomes via effective risk management.

The BB Digital Line 1 Risk team is a dedicated team of risk professionals supporting BB Digital to ensure to ensure effective oversight, governance and management of risks, compliance obligations and controls. This role will report to the Chapter Lead Digital Non Financial Risk.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Manager to join BB Digital Line 1 Risk team. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders fostering a proactive risk and control culture that anticipates and responds to changes in the risk landscape, provide strategic advice, and enable the business to operate confidently within risk appetite. This is a highly collaborative role that supports the execution of business strategy while embedding strong risk management practices.

**Key responsibilities**
- Detect and formulate responses to changes in the internal and external risk landscape that may impact the business risk profile.
- Partner with the business to manage risks, compliance obligations and operations within risk appetite.
- Prepare reporting to accountable owners, governing forums and committees, to create transparency of risk outcomes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of business processes and compliance.
- Recommend the business on areas of prioritisation for investment, intervention and enhancement to mitigate risk.
- Partner and advise the business on preparing responses to issues, near misses, and emerging risks or threats to resilience.
- Advocate for the use of appropriate tools, practices and frameworks to enable execution of risk reduction and proactive risk management.
- Contribute to recommendations that support the execution of the business strategy, including strengths, vulnerabilities and enhancements.

**We're interested in people who have**:

- Experience in financial services sector and / or data and technology
- Proven expertise in the identification and mitigation of current and emerging risks via process improvements and control management expertise.
- Sound understanding and demonstrated competence of risk and compliance management policies and frameworks with exposure to data and technology risks preferred.
- Good problem solving skills, including the ability to use data driven insights to solve problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
