**Job Description**:
As the Head of Strategy and Investor Relations you will lead the Strategy and Investor Relations Team, which sits within the finance business unit. This team is responsible for facilitating TAL’s annual Strategy process, developing TAL’s Strategy, and supporting other business areas with requests for strategic support, facilitating and delivering TAL’s annual investor presentation and associated materials and being the key point of engagement between Dai-ichi Life and TAL.

In this role you will:

- Facilitate the development of the Board Strategy Workshop materials, annual business plans and longer-term strategies
- Ensure all business planning is fit for purpose, in line with overall TAL strategy and adheres to the principles of TAL business planning
- Lead significant or complex strategic projects and initiatives to improve strategic planning for TAL
- Evaluate external factors and market trends to identify potential strategic risks or issues, as well as growth opportunities for TAL, keeping key decision makers informed
- Monitor the effectiveness of operational and strategic plans and formulate recommendations for change where necessary
- Lead the team, making sure that the appropriate people plan is in place to recruit, retain, train & develop people effectively
- Build key stakeholder relationships and manage the integration of the team with other strategy teams and functions across TAL
- Be responsible for Investor Relations presentations, engagement, and associated materials
- Be TAL’s lead in terms of Dai-ichi Life engagement including the production and engagement of Mid-term management plan and associated materials

**Qualifications**:

- A tertiary qualification
- Expert knowledge of relevant economic/accounting practices and the principles of business management
- Experience leading a team and ensuring its integration with other functions
- Extensive knowledge of the insurance industry
- High levels of analytical skills, strategic awareness, and risk management
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate and influence at senior management level
