I am recruiting a Planning Compliance Officer within the SE of Melbourne

Your new company

This Local Council located South East of Melbourne cover a growing region of Victoria with green views and a friendly community. Our client genuinely care for all of their staff shown by receiving positive feedback from multiple contract workers through Hays Recruitment. They are currently experiencing an increase in workload and seeking an individual to join the Planning department.

Your new role

This Local Council require an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer with excellent customer service and computer skills to join the team in this long-term temporary role (full time hours). Your day to day tasks will include but not limited to:

- investigating breaches of the Planning Scheme and Planning Permits
- visiting and assessing sites to ensure compliance is being adhered to
- sending follow-up correspondence to owners and proprietors
- Administrative duties

What you'll need to succeed

This role will require you to have previous and relevant experience working for a Local Council in a planning compliance role. You must also have a valid driver's licence and happy to undergo a police and WWCC check.
