Planning Investigations Officer | Local Council (Melbourne's West)

55 per hour + super | 6-month temporary contract

Public Sector People are working with a local council in Melbourne's west to recruit a Planning Investigations Officer for a 6-month temporary contract.

In this role, you'll be responsible for investigating and resolving planning compliance matters under the Planning and Environment Act and the Councils Planning Scheme.

You'll use a range of dispute resolution tools, from mediation to enforcement action via VCAT and the Magistrates Court.

What We're Looking For

Local government experience (essential)Tertiary qualification in planning or relevant field – or 2+ years in enforcement / investigationsStrong understanding of Victorian planning legislation and compliance processesConfident communicator, capable of representing council in formal settings
