The team at QinetiQ are seeking a Maritime Systems Team Lead to join our Advisory division, based in Canberra.
As part of our support to Defence, your role will be to support successful delivery of the program of work, for a major Naval Project. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and maritime specialists to deliver systems engineering support and operational and technical advice to a major Naval Program.
**Services may include, but are not limited to, matters such as**:
Project Management and Support
Requirements management
Systems Engineering (SE) activities including development of key SE documents.
Seaworthiness Activities
Capability Assurance support
To be successful in the role of Maritime Systems Team Lead, you will require:
Tertiary Education and appropriate professional qualifications in Marine Engineering, Maritime Systems, Electrical/Electronics Engineering and/or Naval Architecture
Well-developed technical writing skills
Demonstrated strong communication skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement, capability development and management
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading technical teams
**Highly Desirable**:
An ADF or defence industry background
Previous experience with Defence capability programs or projects
Experience with Requirements Management and DOORS database
Mature understanding of the RAN’s Seaworthiness Assurance Framework
Applicants MUST hold a minimum NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance
