**The role**:
With recent expansion to the team mandate and operating approach, we have a new Head Of Design & Delivery role available to lead strategic execution activities in C&IB, including shaping the forward transformation agenda, oversight of execution progress and contributions to specific business initiatives.

The Transformation team plays a critical role in developing C&IB’s strategy, enabling its execution and embedding sustainable change. We do this by leading delivery through the C&IB Engagement domain, supporting C&IB’s cross-divisional transformation needs, managing the change process and providing expert, objective advice to the C&IB Leadership Team.

As Head Of, you’ll have the opportunity to:

- Translate C&IB’s strategic ambitions into an integrated roadmap for strategic execution, and drive this through shaping to delivery
- Lead the design and execution of cross-C&IB transformation initiatives design to improve the client/colleague experience, simplify our operating approach, strengthen processes, release capacity or deliver new capability
- Work effectively with Group, Divisional and Business teams to ensure alignment of execution/transformation initiatives throughout the organisation
- Support execution of key strategic initiatives/programs where appropriate and maximise their impact
- Monitor progress in execution of C&IB’s strategic agenda, diagnose root causes of challenges and design interventions where required to accelerate progress
- Oversee investment delivery across C&IB to maintain alignment between domains (incl. C&IB and Enterprise domains), ensure investment is spent effectively, and provide insights on effectiveness and prioritisation of spend
- Build a strong network of relationships within C&IB and NAB that enables you to have a handle on opportunities/issues that don’t show up on paper, and solve for them.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Proven people leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to bring out the best in those around you and enable the success of others
- Deep experience in the Australian and/or global banking markets, with detailed knowledge of operating practices, business models, market challenges, best practices and competitive dynamics
- Proven capability in managing complex stakeholder relationships, supporting senior leaders to shape their thinking whilst facing into challenging topics
- A demonstrated track record of business execution and program delivery, coupled with tenacity and resilience to navigate challenges whilst remaining on schedule
- Practical communication skills to translate needs at a strategic and operational level internally and externally, making effective decisions and balancing client, business, and stakeholder needs
- A trusted brand that’s well known for building and maintaining effective and constructive working relationships with a range of senior internal and external stakeholders
- You’ll have gravitas in senior leadership forums across NAB, and will be able to quickly secure the trust and respect of executive peers and new and existing stakeholders
- Deep thought leadership that secures business leaders’ sponsorship to achieve business objectives
- You’ll have intellectual curiosity, the ability to learn and have career aspirations within the broader C&IB.
