**Role Description/Criteria**

At St Michael’s we seek a Learning & Teaching and Literacy Leader who is committed to leading a faith community with Christ at its centre. We seek a leader who is passionate about their own and others' learning and who is able to inspire others to be lifelong learners. Our Learning & Teaching and Literacy Leader needs to demonstrate a range of dispositions particularly being reflective, resilient, courageous, and just. We seek a leader who has determination, works well within a team, values success, communicates well, and is organised. Importantly we seek a leader who can acknowledge the skills they do have and is prepared to develop those they find challenging.

The Learning and Teaching and Literacy Leader leads the learning and teaching life of St Michael’s in partnership with the Principal and Leadership Team. This Leader works in collaboration with all leaders to inform and lead practice within the school and to fulfill the vision of the school. As a leader in our school, the Learning and Teaching & Literacy Leader develops respectful, collaborative relationships through engaged and purposeful learning that contributes to confident, risk-taking, and reflective learners who strive for excellence.

The Learning and Teaching Literacy Leader is responsible for leading engaged and purposeful literacy learning and teaching at St Michael’s

**Special Requirements**
- hold current VIT registration
- accreditation to teach Religious Education (or working towards accreditation)
- further qualifications in the area of Learning & Teaching Studies
- experience in leading Literacy within a school setting
