**Project Officer - Strategy & Performance, NSW Fair Trading (Temporary)**

**Grade**:Clerk Grade 7/8
**Salary range**:$110,266 - $122,058 + superannuation
**Term**:Temporary - up to December 2025**

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with NSW Fair Trading to deliver on our strategy for a fair and safe marketplace for goods, services and homes in NSW. You are extremely organised, have excellent written skills being able to draft reports and communications for internal and external audiences, and project manage large programs of work.

We are ideally looking for someone with a communications and project management background with a passion for consumer protection.

**About the team**

The Strategy & Performance Team is responsible for working across all of NSW Fair Trading, helping teams identify programs and goals that lead to the success of our purpose of a ‘Fair and safe marketplace for goods, services and homes in NSW’ and delivery of our NSW Fair Trading Strategy 2024 - 2027.

We develop programs of work that will support NSW Fair Trading to deliver on its strategy and annual regulatory priorities. Throughout the year, we work closely with the NSW Fair Trading teams and the Executive Leadership team regularly reporting on our performance against the Strategy and Regulatory Priorities and evaluating our impact.

The team also prepare our NSW Fair Trading external reporting including the content for our annual report and year in review improving transparency over our performance as a regulator.

**Your responsibilities will include**
- Stakeholder engagement skills across diverse groups and all organisational levels
- Excellent written skills and the ability to draft copy and reports for external and internal audiences
- Excellent project management skills and understanding of project management methodologies to balance competing demands to ensure objectives are achieved to the required standard and timeframes
- Flexibility in responding to changing priorities, work tasks and timelines
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

**About you**
- You have strong project management experience
- You have exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail with a project management or communications background
- The ability to quickly learn, adapt and thrive in an environment with competing priorities and short turnaround times
- A real commitment to providing excellence in customer service and achieving the right outcomes for our customers
- A strong sense of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and collaboration
- Skills in using MS Excel and a familiarity with data is preferred.
