You will be confident in developing your own protocols based on first principles and exhibit the ability to think outside the box. The exploratory nature of the role will suit someone who can extract relevant information from the data generated and be capable of presenting this to a wide range of audiences in a succinct and professional manner.

**As our Technical Specialist your purpose will be to**:

- Actively engage and drive the continued development of the programs technical capacity to ensure it remains at the cutting edge of clinically relevant research.
- Provide high level expertise and advice with the ability to critically evaluate experiment results and to effectively, and succinctly communicate these to various stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Deliver agreed outcomes in a self-motivated manner with mínimal direct supervision. This includes but is not limited to 1) organising and performing wet lab activities to achieve effective utilisation of resources 2) co-ordinating research infrastructure to achieve impactful results. And 3) Coordinating sample shipping logistics for all program sites, partners, and Tumour Bank.
- Create tissue microarrays, perform advanced cytometric profiling (high dimensional imaging and flow cytometry), arrange for high dimensional proteomics and running molecular screens.
- Deliver timely, and accurate results of complex technical workflows at a rigour expected of CCI.

**To succeed you will have**
- BSc (Honours), MSc or equivalent
- High level molecular/cellular expertise with proven ability to operate in an independent manner and the ability to develop protocols from first principles.
- The ability to independently manage competing goals and individual stakeholders
- Excellent skills in communications and must be capable of always maintaining a professional demeanour.
- Sufficient skills to work in an independent manner with mínimal oversight.
- Exceptional time management skill.
- Cytometry and/or imaging facilities experience
