You’ll be joining ING during an exciting period of our growth in Australia, as we continue to consolidate our position as Australia’s most trusted bank. In this role, you’ll support Compliance in pro-actively developing, managing and maintaining a best practice compliance framework, and enhancing systems and processes to ensure that ING is compliant by desire and design. The Compliance function requires independence and professional discipline foremost. But it also encourages creativity, including the ability to think outside the box, which results in innovative or alternative approaches when advising business on complaint solutions.
You’ll love this role and be highly successful if you enjoy a ‘hands on end to end role’ where you will have the ability to communicate with business stakeholders, build strong rapport, and assist the business embed a strong compliance culture and practices as part of day to day business operations using your high level understanding of relevant legal, regulatory and industry code requirements and the ability to advise relevant stakeholders on compliance obligations and policies.

**What are you going to do? You will be**
- Advising on issues relating to ING’s ADI licences;
- Providing SME advice and support to business partners on regulatory and industry code obligations (e.g. ASIC Act, Corporations Act, and NCCP Act);
- Providing compliance support to projects;
- Building and maintaining reporting for CCC, including issue and reportable situation tracking, monitoring, risk dashboards and other risk specific reporting (regulatory and internal reporting) to internal stakeholders, including ING’s Head Office Compliance function;
- Building and maintaining a database of best practice advices to support the CCC team in providing high quality consistent advice;
- Providing support to ASIC Breach Assessment team including continuous improvement of process and procedures;
- Providing advice on improvement of compliance processes and procedures including ASIC reporting and Fit & Proper assessment procedures; and
- Providing training for the business.
**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- Experience in managing workflow, systems & processes & governance processes
- Sound knowledge of retail banking systems and business processes
- Knowledge of Australian legal, regulatory and industry code obligations relevant to credit products and services (home/business loans, personal loans, and credit cards).
- Ability to consider alternative solutions to a problem while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in compliance or legal roles in an ADI or with a regulator
- Ability to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
