**About the Role**
Mental Health is one of the leading health discussions in Australia at the moment. Almost half of all Australians aged 16 to 85 years — 7.3 million people — will experience mental illness at some point in their life. To support these people in our local community Northern Beaches hospital is looking for a highly skilled clinical nurse to step into a Private Mental Health Intake Clinician role.
The Mental health wards have been designed, built and fitted to an exceptionally high standard in order to provide a pleasant environment whilst meeting the requirements for an acute mental health facility. The NBH Mental health services have 61 beds.
**Your experience**:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent or other relevant qualification
- Post graduate Mental Health qualification
- Demonstrated minimum 3 years’ experience in the Private mental health setting, implementing a Recovery model of care including the management of involuntary patients
- Formal management qualifications or working towards
- Proven high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Demonstrated initiative and creative thinking
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and patient focused care
- High degree of computer literacy
