**The Opportunity**

Boeing is taking another bold step in aerospace and advanced manufacturing. MQ28 is the first military aircraft to be designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years. This unmanned teaming aircraft is Boeing's first military aircraft to be designed and developed outside the U.S and uses artificial intelligence to extend the capabilities of manned and unmanned platforms. This cutting edge project is aiming to unlock global defence and aerospace opportunities for Boeing and Queensland.

We are seeking a **Production Engineering Manager** to join our team supporting the cutting edge MQ-28 Ghost Bat program. In this role you will facilitate the development of the future full rate MQ28 production system, working across all functions within Boeing in Australia. We are looking for someone who will embrace our company's behaviours and is willing to innovate.

The role can based in Brisbane or Toowoomba.

The **Production Engineering Manager** will:

- Responsible for the following work activities:This includes, but is not limited to, production problem solving, process improvement and change management, production system design, production planning/metrics and equipment/facilities support.
- Refining the production system design for the composite fabrication and aircraft assembly of the aircraft;
- Support transitioning the composites fabrication capability from our Melbourne facility to the new Toowoomba Wellcamp facility;
- Managing the recurring and non-recurring engineering effort supporting the production effort at our Wacol facility.
- Partner with other areas of the business to ensure the production activities delivers on its business plan and targets
- Drive the technical development of our supplier base to enable their capacity and capability growth.
- Foster longer term initiatives to continuously improve production, safety, quality, resource and materials utilisation, staff skills and competencies.
- Promote and adhering to Lean Manufacturing principals

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Experience in a leadership and management role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge/experience in Manufacturing including Safety and Lean principals is essential
- Be a driven and strong leader but also work well within a team Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in an aerospace/mechanical discipline. (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable).
