We are seeking an enthusiastic Room Leader to join our team at Altona Early Years Hub. This state-of-the-art facility is located on the site of the Altona P-9 School. At the heart of this facility is the belief that each child is a competent learner from birth. Join a team of nurturing and experienced educators to deliver high quality and inclusive educational program for children from birth to six years, including sessional kindergarten

This position is full time, fixed term position from 24/10/22 to 9/06/23. Working Monday to Friday on a rotating roster and receive a monthly RDO

**What will you do?**
- Be responsible for developing a high-quality educational program for children in consultation with the parents and educators, driven by their interests, in order to meet their individual developmental needs
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with children, families, and the local community and partner with them, encouraging their involvement in the program through effective communication
- Be a motivated and driven Educator, who will lead and guide a team of educators in implementing quality play-based learning experiences for children, documenting and extending children's learning
- Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis

**Essential criteria for a **Diploma Room Leader**:

- A Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification
- Experience working in a long day care centre
- Have a sound knowledge of and experience with implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safety Standard
- Current Working with Children's Check and National Police Check
- Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate
