Our client is at the forefront of men’s and women’s fashion. With multiple stores across Australia, they are an Australian grown brand that embodies a modern, contemporary style and sensibility.
**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Head of Design & Buying and working closely with the owner, you will be responsible for:
- Work closely with the Head of Design to develop on brand, seasonal ranges across men’s and women’s accessories.
- Product development to ensure all product is aligned with the brands aesthetic.
- Responsible for sample approval to ensure product quality, standards of raw material, colour, trims and fit.
- Seasonal colour palette selection and trend reporting.
- Sourcing new suppliers and nurture relationships with existing supply chain.
- Leading price negotiations with suppliers and oversee range costings.
- Identifying new opportunities and innovations to increase profitability and growth for allocated categories.
- Working to ensure estimates price and then first price per style matches to the range plan and target RRP.
- Work collaboratively cross functionally with planning division.
- Ensure timely delivery of product to store.
- Create and ensure critical path compliance.
**What you will need**
- +5 years’ experience in designing, developing or buying in the Footwear or Accessories sector with demonstrated success is an advantage but not essential.
- Fluency across Adobe Suite and MS Excel.
- Strong ability to build & nurture meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commercial focus.
- Strong knowledge on seasonal trends.
- Proven ability to plan, project manage and deliver high performance.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong brand alignment and passion for the fashion, footwear and accessories industry.
