Northrop Grumman Australia provides the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) with through-life support for its fleet of KC-30A Multi-role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft—a derivative of the Airbus A330-200. The platform is a trusted and proven asset and the program is continually growing in capability and expertise.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced **Technical Services Officer - Avionics** to join the KC‑30A Engineering team based at RAAF Amberley.
As a member of the KC-30A Mission Systems team, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Delivery Manager in detailed planning, monitoring and reporting of aircraft system health, the management of activity priorities within the KC-30A Through Life Support (TLS) program. You will also be required to provide support and guidance to team personnel, prioritise task activities and delegate tasking accordingly to maintain airworthiness and safety.
The role activities are regulated by DASR Part M requirements.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Support high tempo operational meetings and fulfil immediate requirements to support Operations or Deeper Maintenance completion.
- Develop and coordinate implementation of assigned Inspections Instructions, modifications, rectification instructions, maintenance instructions and technical publication changes, proposals for update changes to the AMP and technical advice in support of maintenance, engineering and supply queries.
- Coordinate logistic process (Engineering Change Proposals, Modifications, Inspections, Rectifications, Configuration Control Boards and Overhaul) to ensure timely release of applicable
- Review service literature or technical information.
- Review and determine technical and logistic dispositions to defect reports.
- Maintain good business relations with relevant NGA Stakeholders.
- Actively participate in risk management processes and work with stakeholders to characterise, mitigate and resolve risks.
- Assist with material planning in support of the Service Delivery Area and Aircraft Operations.
- Carrying out with Technical Change Board assessments of assigned Service Bulletins.
- Contribute to Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
- Gather, analyse, report and present health measurement data for the assigned Service Delivery Systems.
- Assess obsolescence and reliability reports and recommend actions to support improvements in reliability, availability and maintainability.
- Provide regular plans for management of Repairable Items (RIs) and Breakdown Spares (BDS)
- Support warranty investigations.
- Provide technical support for Investigations, troubleshooting advice, component repair advice
