Avionics Maintenance Specialist

The role of an Avionics Maintenance Specialist is critical in ensuring the safety and operational readiness of aircraft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance on the Tactical Jamming System and its sub-assemblies to guarantee optimal performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance Execution: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the Tactical Jamming System to ensure it functions correctly and efficiently.
  • Completion Verification: Utilize electronic maintenance systems to verify that tasks have been completed satisfactorily and documented accurately.
  • Expertise Support: Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to enhance operational efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure serviceable pods are available to meet operational demands and minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records in an enterprise tracking tool for precise serviceability information.
  • Safety Standards: Adhere to workplace health and safety practices and report any incidents or potential hazards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records for ALQ-99 TJS ILM work conducted.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with the team to prioritize and execute maintenance tasks according to Commonwealth requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)

In order to be successful in this role, you must hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) and possess a C class driver's license. Additionally, Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 clearance are essential.
