The Opportunity Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is the one of the largest Defence companies in Australia, and is now seeking to fill a crucial role from highly skilled and motivated individuals to be part of the team conducting Technical Maintenance (Avionics) Instructional activities for Boeing Defence Australia, supporting the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program for the Royal Australian Air Force's fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers.
We are recruiting for the position of an Avionics (B2) Maintenance Training Instructor Level P2, to supplement the support 82WG Training Services (1SQN Training Flight) for the fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers. This Program is located at Amberley Queensland.
Your exceptional avionics experience and training skills will be critical to support Aviation Maintenance Training for the ACEA Program, in a unique and challenging environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support to the RAAF Training Flight Lead as directed in training execution, by supplementing existing team tasking, including course delivery, developmental and management tasking.
- Developing and evolving Maintenance Training materials, including but not limited to; analysis, design and development of courseware artefacts, learning curriculum, and the implementation and management of learning management system(s).
- Ensuring maintenance authorisation currency, and integrity of training products, through continued involvement in Line and Base Maintenance activities, IAW DASR 66 requirements.
- Supporting the development and implementation of new Technical Training approaches, products and processes.
- Maintaining excellent communication skills, ability follow schedules, multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Maintaining a robust relationship with our customer, stakeholders, and peers.
- Deliver Aircraft Maintenance and applicable substantive courses Technical Training, to internal and external customers of the ACEA program.
- Providing SME Support to Training and Operational activities as directed.
Essential qualifications and/or experience
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
- Military Aviation Maintenance License (MAML) with an existing Aircraft Type Certification, or equivalent commercial qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with F/A-18F Super Hornets, EA-18G Growlers or equivalent Fast Jet Aircraft types.
- Experienced in the conduct of training, assessment and supervision in the current Aviation Maintenance environment.
- Interpersonal skills to work in a multi-team environment and ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Established communication, multi-tasking and time management skill sets.
Desirable qualifications and/or experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE10116 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain this qualification.
- Understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR 66 and 147).
- Experience and Qualifications with an ARMTECH background.
- Awareness of enhanced training methods and an innovative mindset to implement and support flexible learning delivery of new technologies.
- Highly competent Aeroskills B2 Trade Instructor/Mentor and Courseware Development skills.
