**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Group Manager - Gas and Renewables Asset Operations, your new role is an influential operational leadership role that sits within the Gas and Renewables Leadership Team. You’ll provide cultural and strategic leadership of our Shoalhaven team and showcase demonstrable knowledge and and expertise in operational leadership.

The role is responsible for focusing the business on its core priorities which include:

- Accountability for managing the Kangaroo Valley & Bendeela Power Stations including people, plant performance, budget, risk, compliance, and community
- Through collaborative leadership, responsibility for the development and maintenance of a positive site culture and team engagement, underpinned by Origin’s key Principles, Values and Commitments
- Overall responsibility and leadership for Health Safety and Environment on site including emergency response
- Responsible for the safe operation of the facility within operating envelopes and regulatory approvals
- Prioritization, planning, integrating, and organizing activities of the site team, to ensure alignment and delivery of the Site Asset Strategy & Team Plan
- Managing EBIT performance, Budget, and Capital Investment to meet targets
- Leading and developing team productivity and supporting personal and professional development
- Building and maintaining relationships across Origin and leading industry groups
- Facilitating solutions to improve and sustain strategic, process safety, operational, production and financial performance outcomes
- Participating in strategy development and set goals to support growth of Generation and Renewables team

**IS THIS YOU?**

To be considered for this role you will be an exceptional people and cultural leader, with the ability to interpret business requirements to develop strategies, as well as having excellent stakeholder management skills.

You can show, through the work you’ve done:

- Relevant post trade qualifications or engineering degree (maintenance, engineering, science or project management)
- Extensive experience in a senior operating role in power generation or heavy industry (5-10 years) - hydro power experience will be highly regarded
- Management or leadership experience within the power generation industry or heavy industry (min 5 years) - experience managing in an EA environment will be highly regarded
- Experience and knowledge of the National Electricity Market requirements and industry regulatory authorities
- Asset Management knowledge and experience (min 5 years)
- Proven track record in OH&S/HS&E procedures management and compliance
- Exceptional and demonstrable people leadership to drive a positive and inclusive workplace culture as a manager or team leader
- Setting ambitious standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed
