**About the role**

Origin Energy’s Shoalhaven Pump Storage Hydroelectric Scheme consists of two pumped storage hydro power stations in Kangaroo Valley and Bendeela; located on the South Coast of NSW in the Shoalhaven area.

Reporting to the Power Station Manager, the purpose of this position is to facilitate and demonstrate ownership for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Shoalhaven Scheme Assets, in order to maximise its flexibility, reliability and provide cost effective power generation for our Customers. Also, to safeguard the technical, safety, environmental and commercial integrity of the asset over its complete lifecycle.

**The key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Carry out Plant Operations & Maintenance
- Plant Equipment Health, Risk, Performance and Improvement
- Maintaining performance and compliance in areas of responsibility
- Adherence to the Management of Work (Scoping, estimating, execution, close out and improvement)
- Implementation, review and execution against the equipment strategies, O&M plans and support inventory optimisation
- Defect elimination and reliability support
- Project Management, Supervision and coordination of contractors
- Acting Plant Leadership duties when required
- Available for standby, call in and shift readiness
- Apply, perform and issue PTW isolations

The position is part of a small multi-skilled team operating in a dynamic environment. The role works closely with all site personnel, Business Partners, functional teams and contractors to achieve the outcomes for the business and leading initiatives across the Shoalhaven Scheme.

**To be successful in this role you require**:

- Certificate III - Electrical Trade and Certificate IV - Instrumentation/Control coupled with substantial Operations and Maintenance experience in power generation or heavy industry
- Diploma in Business, Maintenance / Asset Management, Operations or Project Management or Cert in Generation or equivalent highly advantageous
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and commitment to safe working principles, procedures and methods applied in power stations or heavy industry
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Operations, Maintenance, Outage, Project and Contract Management / Supervision in power stations or heavy industry
- Demonstrated experience fostering teamwork, flexibility and supporting change in an inclusive environment
