About the role:

Drive major projects and overhauls at Origin Energy's hydro generation assets. Be the technical link between teams, ensuring every project runs safely, smoothly, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to projects and overhauls, with an emphasis on hydro plant systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the resolution of technical queries from contractors, suppliers, and project teams, including those specific to hydro operations.
  • Support the development and execution of project scopes, budgets, estimates, and schedules for hydro and other generation assets.
  • Coordinate technical deliverables between contractors, engineering, and operations, ensuring quality and safety requirements are met.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle cost improvements, especially within hydro plant environments.
  • Facilitate the end to end quality management process.

What will you bring?

  • Degree qualification in Engineering (Mechanical), accredited under the Washington Accord.
  • Previous experience in power generation, heavy industry, or a similar complex asset environment, with hydro plant experience highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices, engineering governance, and quality management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical scopes of work within a project or overhaul delivery environment, ideally including hydro projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
