This Department has received a large amount of additional funding, giving them the ability to create new roles within well established teams. This position provides the successful applicant the ability to work directly with with the CFO, creating and implementing new policy to improve compliance across the department. You will have direct impact on financial operations in the organisation and will be a key support in financial operations across Australia.

Being a large, established department you will be provided clear pathways to senior management positions, and the ability to train and influence junior staff within your team.

**Day to day operations** involve leading a team providing specialist policy advice and guidance to various business areas, preparation and reporting of financial artifacts and briefs, representing your team with senior stakeholders, and providing training to the wider organisation on finance policy and legislation.

**You will bring **experience in finance policy, law and legislation, as well as an understanding of the Federal Government environment. Experience in achieving strategic policy outcomes in complex environments will be highly regarded.

**Due to the nature of the work, a current NV1 security clearance is required
