About the role

Objectives of the position

Contribute to the sustainability of the arts and cultural sector through supporting the coordination of programs and events that build the fundraising skills and capabilities of the Australian arts and cultural sector.

Contribute to the execution of Creative Partnerships’ strategy through the administration of CPA’s programs that enhance the capacity of artists and arts organisations to secure and grow private sector support.

Assist in the administration of Creative Partnerships’ grants programs and sector development opportunities and services.

Duties

Grant Programs
- Provide administrative support, to deliver and evaluate Creative Partnerships’ grant programs.
- Work with the Executive Director, Programs & Development to ensure record management is maintained.
- Provide information to artists and arts organisations regarding Creative Partnerships’ grant programs.

Sector Development
- Provide administrative support to ensure the implementation of sector development opportunities such as workshops, masterclasses, mentoring programs, webinars, and partnered events, including reporting on outcomes.
- Provide budget support related to the delivery of sector development opportunities.
- Provide communication with sector development opportunity participants regarding ticketing and event details.
- Provide support to the Marketing and Communications team as required for sector development opportunities such as the creation of event charters and logístical timeframes.

Other Duties
- Keep up to date with news and developments in the arts and philanthropic sectors.
- Develop an understanding of the operations of other roles within the organisation and a willingness to provide support when required.
- Additional duties as requested by the Executive Director, Programs & Development.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential
- Strong administration skills
- An understanding of private sector arts support and the principles of fundraising.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders by phone and electronic media, dealing with a high volume of enquiries, queries and issues during peak times.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality events with a stakeholder focus.
- Capacity to develop and manage efficient systems and processes related to program delivery.
- Ability to identify improvements and implement changes to ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, with the capacity to format reports generated by other systems (eg. Smartygrants, Humanitix), manage data related to grant recipients’ progress through program stages, and use formulas to produce annual report data and ad hoc program reports.

Desired
- Proficiency in the following systems:

- Online grants systems such as SmartyGrants
- Zoom (hosting/facilitating sessions, producing recordings)
- Online ticketing systems such as Humanitix
- Online survey platforms such as Alchemer/SurveyGizmo
- Databases such as Salesforce
