Procurement Business Partner

We at Chandler Macleod have an exciting opportunity to share with you We are currently seeking a Procurement Business Partner to join one of our clients based in Narre Warren.

Position Purpose
- Oversee procurement process including tenders, request for quotes, expression of interest and all procurement related matters to ensure compliance of the procurement policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Provide best practise procurement whilst providing exceptional levels of customer service and stakeholder engagement

Key Responsibility Areas
- Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand, problem solve and provide best practice procurement solutions and ongoing contract management advice and support.
- Drive and promote continuous improvement and innovation in procurement and contract management processes.
- Ensure effective tendering and contract management methodology is in place and fully utilised across the organisation.
- Maintain best practice policies and operating procedures for the public tendering, quotations and ongoing contract management of works, goods and services.
- Actively seek opportunities to work towards shared service collaboration.
- Assist the Team Leader Procurement Operations with other procurement-related functions, as directed.
- Determine contractor compliance with regards to OH&S, WorkCover and GST

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in dealing with all procurement matters in a large and varied portfolio.
- Knowledge of relevant Act, legislation and guidelines that relate to procurement.
- Demonstrated understanding of tendering process, contracts, contract law, contract conditions and specifications.
- High level of understanding of OH&S and Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, WorkCover and other insurance types in relation to works, goods and services procured via tenders and quotations and the engagement of contractors.
- Strong influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with demonstrated experience in achieving effective business outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and lateral thinking skills with the ability to operate autonomously and take initiative.
- Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous, evolving and complex environment.
- High level experience in developing and maintaining relationships and understanding stakeholders needs.
- Must be willing to undergo security checks and you must have a Working with Children Check
