The Early Childhood Assistant is expected to work as a collaborative member of the Early Learning Centre team, in order to provide an educational program appropriate to the interests and developmental needs of the children. The position assists in providing an amiable, flexible, creative, stimulating, and safe environment for the children.

The incumbent is expected to interact with children and parents and undertake general housekeeping tasks within the Early Learning Centre.

This is an ongoing, part time position, working Monday to Wednesday 9:50am - 2pm and Thursday 9:50 - 3:30pm, commencing in Term 4, 2024.

**The successful applicant will**:

- Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) or a higher qualification.
- Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role.
- Have a strong alignment with the values of the Reggio Emilia Educational Approach
- Be highly motivated, committed to work collaboratively with others, demonstrating our School values of Dignity, Respect, Care and Compassion
- Demonstrate an ability to build authentic, collaborative and respectful relationships.
- Have a strong community and service ethic and commitment to deliver exceptional service.
- Possess a positive outlook, exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Display a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Have a current Employee Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain.
- Hold current Mandatory Reporting, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates, or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Must have a current National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months) or be willing to obtain prior to commencement.
