**Tiling & Floor Polishing Technician - Terrazzo, Palladiana, and Stone Finishes**

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a talented and reliable Tiling & Floor Polishing Technician to join our team, specialising in terrazzo, Palladiana, and natural stone flooring. Based in our Dandenong South factory, you’ll work on a variety of high-end residential and commercial projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. This hands-on role involves both installation and restoration, and requires a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to craftsmanship.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install terrazzo and Palladiana flooring to a high architectural standard
- Cut, shape, and set natural stone and terrazzo tiles with precision
- Perform mechanical polishing and honing (on-site and in-factory)
- Execute grinding, grouting, patching, and detailed restoration work
- Prepare substrates through screeding, levelling, and priming
- Operate and maintain equipment such as Husqvarna and Klindex polishers
- Work collaboratively with project managers, designers, and other trades
- Follow OH&S guidelines and site safety protocols

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in terrazzo, Palladiana, or natural stone tiling and polishing
- Strong understanding of substrate preparation and surface finishing
- Competent in both large-format machines and detailed hand tools
- Current White Card (Construction Induction)
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, punctual, and focused on quality workmanship
- Ability to interpret plans and install to exact specifications

**Desirable**:

- Experience with epoxy and cementitious terrazzo
- Familiarity with in-situ terrazzo installations
- Knowledge of heritage terrazzo and stone floor restoration
- Ability to perform custom cutting, templating, and site joins

**Training**:
In-house and on-site training provided for advanced polishing systems, material handling, and installation methods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Subcontract, Temp to Perm

**Pay Range**: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

- Monday to Friday

**Supplementary Pay**:

- Overtime pay

**Location Requirements**:
Must be able to reliably commute to Dandenong South for workshop-based work, with travel required across Victoria for site-based work.

**Experience**:

- Tiling / Stone Installation: 2 years (preferred)
- Floor Polishing: 1 year (preferred)

**Work Authorisation**:

- Australia (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Subcontract

Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
