**About the role**:
Leading a team of engagement and social performance specialists, ensures effective implementation of engagement strategies, and escalates risks, concerns, or insights to relevant functions when necessary, and ensuring all activities adhere to governance standards and best practices.

- Lead and coach a team of engagement and social performance specialists to deliver high-quality and consistent community and stakeholder engagement across development projects
- Design and implement fit-for-purpose engagement strategies and plans that align with project milestones, risk profiles, business needs and community expectations
- Coordinate with internal teams including development, approvals, and communications to align stakeholder messaging, activities, and reporting
- Monitor emerging stakeholder issues and risks across the portfolio, advising on mitigation strategies and escalating where appropriate
- Oversee the refinement and continuous improvement of community engagement frameworks, tools, and processes to ensure best practice and compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Track and report on stakeholder engagement performance and outcomes, providing insights to inform business decisions and risk management
- Identify and mitigate emerging stakeholder risks by adapting engagement strategies to suit project stages and local context.

**What will you bring?**
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, social performance, or a similar field, preferably within the energy or resources sectors
- Proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships and engagement activities across multiple project phases (e.g., planning, development, operations)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engagement specialists, ensuring alignment with project goals and best-practice engagement strategies
- Strong understanding of social performance frameworks, engagement planning, and community consultation processes in the context of energy projects
- Knowledge of governance and compliance standards related to stakeholder engagement and social performance, including any relevant legislation and industry guidelines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholder groups, including local communities, government bodies, and NGOs
