ARU, one of the most highly sought-after restaurants in Melbourne, is currently seeking a full-time Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.
About Us
ARU is the second restaurant from Chef Khanh Nguyen, built around a wood-fired hearth. The food revolves around cooking over fire - dishes grilled, smoked or roasted - with influences from Souteast Asia and native Australian ingredients. Named after the group of islands on the early Sino-Indonesian-Northern Australian trade route, the food draws on old and new techniques: in-house preservation, fermentation, curing and dry-aging.
Sitting alongside the broad and unique food offering is an extensive, exciting, and ever-changing wine program that looks at wines from the Old and New World with a focus on Sake and Japanese products. The bar and cocktail program focuses on local and premium spirits, and modern, creative techniques.
Our group boasts a collection of world-class hospitality venues including SUNDA_, Parcs and Kudo, each offering unique experiences for our valued guests. At the heart of our success is a passion for exceptional service and a commitment to excellence in all that we do. The Opportunity
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for hospitality and people, who is proactive and dedicated to managing a team to be the best they can be whilst delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.

About You
- You have at least two years' experience as a Restaurant Supervisor in a venue of a similar calibre
- You love good food, great wine and uncommon ingredients
- You take pride in the service you deliver and have a strong work ethic
- You possess a high level of emotional intelligence to deal with a diverse range of guests and anticipate their needs
- You lead by example and take ownership of your role
- You hold a current RSA

Our Dining Room operates 7 days a week. This is a full-time position on a rotating roster with the expectation that you are able to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
