This **three year Parks and Gardens Apprenticeship** is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking for career growth and to gain invaluable experience working within the parks of the **Wyndham City Council**

**About the role**

As a member of the Parks and Gardens team, the Apprentice will be required to undertake maintenance in horticulture such as, but not limited to:

- Mowing
- Weeding
- Planting
- Litter removal
- Weed Spraying
- Mulching
- Pruning
- Watering
- Irrigation repairs
- Participate in relevant training and skill development as required.
- Co-operate and collaborate with other members of the Parks and Gardens team as required
- Undertake the required schooling/TAFE to a satisfactory level to complete the three year apprenticeship.
- Record daily activities in a work journal.
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety policies in the workplace.

- Eager to work outdoors with extensive variety of work sites, horticultural jobs and projects

- Positive attitude towards working full-time and gaining a nationally recognised qualification
- Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done

- Consistently reliable and punctual at all times
- Commitment and dedication to TAFE studies
