We are seeking a Accounts Payable Officer to provide support for our Finance Department.
This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Ballarat in line with our hybrid working model.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Undertake accounts payable assessment and processing for delivery of accurate payment of creditor accounts within AV policies, procedures and delegations
- Act as a first point of contact for creditor queries, maintaining a high standard of customer service to enhance AV's reputation
- Maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality of account details compliant with record management, data security and privacy legislation
- Ensure general ledger coding and other data for all invoices to be entered into Oracle Financials is accurate and if there are any discrepancies, resolve and amend where applicable
- Provide ad hoc Oracle reports, general administrative duties, ad hoc Reception support and other tasks as required
**About you**
To be considered for this position you will possess a certificate in Business/Finance or equivalent (desirable). Other requirements include:
- Experience working in an accounts payable department and competent at intermediate level in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- Proven proficient accounts payable skills with an ability to meet performance output targets
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and quality control
- Professional and mature with sound judgement to ensure matters of a confidential or sensitive nature are handled appropriately and diplomatically
- Diligent with the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Established problem solving skills to enable the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action**
