
Assistant Finance Officer

The role
Reporting to the Team Lead Accounts Payable you will undertake payment of accounts utilising the Vendor Invoice Management System (VIM), including but not limited to purchase orders, non-purchase orders and staff claims. In preparations for the payment of accounts you will ensure that all payments are completed within relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to the accounts payable function, accurately, efficiently and within departmental priorities. You will input, update and retrieve data from the current Queensland Health Finance systems, S4 Hana and VIM. In addition, you will also provide advice on accounts payable issues through communication and consultation with vendors, customers and Queensland Health.
The successful person
You will be a self-motivated team member with a strong focus on delivering high quality, accurate finance services with the ability to communicate clearly, problem solve, and meet deadlines. In addition, you will have a proven track record in building and maintaining appropriate relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders.
Your knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to the accounts payable function consistent with Queensland Health and other government agency directives will see you succeed in this role.
