We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing financial expertise and support to our business units. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain accurate and timely financial records, including data reconciliation and analysis in financial systems.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and managing data reconciliation and analysis in financial systems to ensure accurate financial records according to procedure guidelines.
  • Accurate and timely compliance reporting including BAS, FBT, Levies and Annual Accounting.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Special Purpose and General Purpose financial statements in accordance with Corporations Law and relevant Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) for external auditors sign-offs.
  • Preparing work papers supporting financial disclosures.
  • Ensuring Group Reporting is published by due dates.
  • Assisting in the preparation and compilation of the annual budget, annual reforecast and 5 year business plan for the company.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, we are looking for someone who is able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a finance team, preferably within the commodities/agribusiness sector.
  • A deep knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and Australian tax legislation.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • The ability to interpret and analyse qualitative and quantitative information.
