My client is seeking an experienced IT Professional with strong technical skills and communication who is versed in many technologies and specialising in AWS. As a Consultant, you will be expected to deliver professional IT consulting services across a multitude of different clients. With your extensive knowledge and experience, you will be responsible for leading and managing customer engagements. Focusing on AWS you be able to assist clients with cloud readiness preparation and planning, architectural solution designs, automation and deployment, and ongoing governance and management of their cloud environments.

**The role & the right person**:

You will be responsible for both leading technical designs and consideration as well as being the voice of the client across our teams. Our consultants do not stop once a delivery is complete but rather continue working with clients ongoing to validate solutions, suggest change requests and enhancements, and maintaining ongoing relationships.

Finally, they provide time and space for innovation through monthly "One Team Fridays" where modern technologies are explored to drive innovative thinking and to further develop and share our knowledge and are looking for people who want to continue to stretch, and share, what they know.

**To be successful in this role you will need**
- **10+ years’ experience** delivering professional IT services, a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a senior technician, consultant or similar.
- Proven experience working with cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
- Proven client/customer management skills including both written and verbal communication.
- Experience with AWS Technologies (ECS, Systems Manager, Config, RDS, EC2, S3, DMS, CloudFront, WAF)
- A “builder” mindset with development or scripting experience. (Ideally, you will have experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc)
- Experience with Enterprise/ITIL methodology ticketing, CMDB, Change Management
- Ability to discuss requirements and solutions at a technical level
- Understanding of the security implications and controls within the solutions.
- Ability to discuss requirements and solutions at a technical level
- Ability to discuss requirements and solutions in plain English with business users and management.
- Knowledge and experience in various industry verticals with a good understanding of related IT systems utilised within these industries.
- Understanding and experience in both Project and Change Management.
- Comfortable interacting with people across all levels of organisations and ability to field technical and business-related questions
- Flexibility and ability to manage changing priorities
- Strong interest in understanding how to improve existing processes and designing solutions to meet business/customer needs

**Nice to have**
- AWS Certification - Solution Architect, DevOps, Security Specialty, Advanced Networking or Big Data
- Experience with container technology, Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Developer Methodologies - Git, Code Branching, CI/CD pipelines
- A solid understanding of DevOps and automation and the organisational change required to implement this capability
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or appropriate formal qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science higher in Information and Communication Technology

Salary in the range of $120,000 - $150,000 + super + company bonuses + tech allowance
