Perth, Australia NES FIRCROFT Full time

Our client a Global Oil and Gas organization in Perth CBD are currently seeking an Expeditor & Material Logistics Officer to join them for a 6-month contract.

**Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Purchase stock and consumables from OEM’s, local and international suppliers
- Evaluate new and existing suppliers across all inventory and service categories to determine commercial viability and optimise value and savings for the business
- Liaise directly with regional aftermarket teams to resolve and mitigate any Inventory, Supplier and Logistics issues, ensuring any pertinent issues are elevated to Regional Managers
- Manage supplier relationships for aftermarket products and services, including order expediting, pricing, discounts, commercial terms, quality, logistics and supplier invoicing/receipting
- Process purchase orders for stock items and consumables, including goods receipting and import costing
- Issuing, handling and management of materials across a large scale project in the offshore sector
- Interpreting schedules to ensure that realistic milestones are established, required activities occur on time and that interface between activities is maintained.
- Communicating with suppliers to ensure materials are packed and delivered according to the Company procedures.
- Keeping relevant personnel informed on progress of material deliveries.
- Reviewing the performance of third party service providers in relation to the project.
- Identification of Dangerous goods
- Request for Transport requests
- Coordination of temporary equipment inspections
- Reviewing and maintaining material receiving reports against shipping documents to verify that material has been received, initiating follow-up actions when required
- Reporting on all Materials and Logistic matters to the project team, including weekly and monthly summary reports
- Supply chain expertise and support to the team.
- Control of the stores and consumables for the project
- Staging of materials and equipment
- Works as part of the readiness and execution teams
- Coordinates personnel movements as required to meet project requirements and schedules

**Key Skills and Experience Required**:

- Ideally, 5+ years’ experience in a similar marine logistics/supply chain operations role, preferably in an oil and gas environment
- Experience in supporting offshore operations.
- Track record of coordinating all logistics and materials disciplines associated with the support disciplines necessary to facilitate an offshore operation.
- Knowledgeable in the complexities associated with marine chartering.
