Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for a People and Culture Coordinator to join the People, Safety and Culture at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.

About the Position

The People and Culture (P&C) Coordinator is responsible for the provision of a professional, quality Human Resource service. The coordinator will administer and support a range of human resources activities including staff onboarding, recruitment, maintaining employee records, assist with HRIS system input and provide overall administrative support. There will be a strong focus on presenting the WEHI induction to new staff members and driving end to end recruitment process.
The Coordinator will be the first point of contact for any external and internal staff queries about human resources matters and will need to be able to organise workload, prioritise duties and manage deadlines, The Coordinator needs the ability to maintain good relationships with staff at all levels whilst ensuring P&C policy is adhered to. This role works across a broad range of stakeholders from Academic to Professional services staff to deliver an exceptional and responsive service.

Selection Criteria
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to manage workflows from various team members and multiple priorities- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills- Meticulous attention to detail- Discretion in relation to confidential information

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources or related discipline preferred

Personal Qualities:
- Proactive can-do attitude with a high level of initiative- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to quickly establish respectful and productive working relationships with managers and employees- Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance workload and conflicting priorities

Terms of Appointment
This position is an ongoing role in a full-time capacity. Salary is Professional Services Employee Level 5 ($79,629 - 91,465). Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
